A teacher with the Academy since 2019, Martin Herrmann, has been working with the online team since 2021. A classroom teacher with various educational leadership positions since 2004, Mr. Herrmann brings a wealth of experience of, and passion for, the fundamentals of classical education. Martin states, “Through the principles of learning how to read, write, and discuss well, I believe that young people will develop the skills and confidence necessary to succeed in life.” 

When not in the classroom Mr. Herrmann can be working on his land in the Sierra foothills, cooking up a storm in his kitchen, or playing in the Sierra Nevada mountains. Mr. Herrmann loves to ski, hike, camp, and lay around mountain lakes and streams–with his family and young son. He also loves reading classic American literature and strumming a guitar.
