Katie Teays comes to the John Adams Academy online program by way of earning her BFA in Theatre Studies from Texas Christian University and her Master of Arts Degree in Theatre Education from New York University. She has taught a wide range of ages and has been working with scholars online since 2020. 

When she is not teaching, she can usually be found traveling and exploring new places. Always an avid reader, Katie’s favorite authors were Roald Dahl and Shakespeare growing up. 

She states, “I have always loved the line from one of my favorite plays Hamlet, “We know what we are, but know not what we may be.” Ms. Teays brings a deep understanding of literature and performance to the team and is excited to continue the work of restoring America’s heritage.
