Karessa’s favorite part of the John Adams Academy model is The Ten Core Values because they help to guide us on our journey of becoming servant leaders.  Her favorite part of teaching is helping scholars discover new and exciting things each day.  

Karessa is excited about the unique opportunity the JAA-Online program provides for mentors, parents, and scholar to learn and grow together in the comfort and safety of our home, with our family.  She has two boys who also attend John Adams Academy.    

When she and her husband are not at one of their boy’s sport practices or games, she enjoys reading, hiking, and cooking + baking.  Her favorite classic novel is Charlotte's Web.  A beautiful quote from the book is, "You have been my friend.  That in itself is a tremendous thing."  

Karessa is eager to get to know the scholars and families that she serves each school year.
