Cheryl Holmes has been involved with John Adams Academy since the school opened in 2011 and has embraced the American Classical Leadership Education® model first, as a parent in service, then as an employee starting in 2014. 

She began her time with us in the Parent Service Organization. Inspired by the Academy’s motto: Restoring Americas Heritage by Developing Servant Leaders, she returned to Brigham Young University-Idaho and obtained a Bachelor of Science in liberal arts. Cheryl states, “Watching a scholar work hard to learn a new concept or master a complex skill is the best reward.” 

Mrs. Holmes continues growing in her knowledge and skills to work with scholars with varying needs. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with or talking to her four adult children and grandchildren. She also loves hiking, sewing, seeing musicals, and serving. Her favorite quote from a classic is, “All things great are wound up with all things little,” Anne of Green Gables.
